Altador Cup Express #1 ------ New Feature explained
Altador Cup, which is the neopets version of FIFA World Cup, was first established at 1st June 2006. Sixteen different worlds of neopia will recruit neopians to be their team members and gather at Altador competing for the shiny Altador Cup.
This year, the recruitment will start from 1st June to 4th June and the matches will start at 5th June. Remember to think twice before you pick a team since switching team is not allowed this year. During the recruiting period, participants can also practice with the practice team, the “non-existing” Jelly World team.
The newly discovered neopia world, Shenkuu, accepted the invitation from the Altador cup committee and becoming one of the team fighting for the Altador cup. On the other hand Kreuldor, seems to be withdrawn from the competition. May be because it is not in neopia but in the moon?
A few new types of Yooyuball, normal, Darigan and clockwork, are also introduced in the game this year making the game more exciting. As complained by millions of player, the Darigan Yooyuball seems to be super duper ultra difficult to deal with since it flies askew from the direction the player is facing. The normal Yooyuball behaves as what the player expect. The ball which is believed to be one of the worst joke by TNT (The Neopets Team), the clockwork Yooyuball, will explode within 10 or 15 seconds if it isn't put into a goal.
A new badge system is also applied in this year’s competition. There will be a badge at the bottom right corner at the main page of the Altador cup. The better you perform, a higher rank you get. The lowest ranking is rank 0 and the highest is rank 20.
For those who are not good at the Yooyuball game, this time the kind TNT have also introduced new two games for those users to earn some more points, they are “Slushie Slinger” and “Make some noise” which will both be release at 5th June. However, play those games won’t earn you as much points as the Yooyuball game as said by TNT.
Hope these new features will help to create a successful Altador cup. The next issue will talk about everyone’s concern ------- which team will take the Altador Cup back home?
